AnyCognition Inc. runs Whim. Reach us at support@whim.anycognition.ca.
To make or change an app, Whim sends your request to AnyCognition’s server. The server uses AI models from other companies, reached through OpenRouter, to write the app.
Anything you save inside your apps
Requests go to AnyCognition’s server, which sends them on to third-party AI models through OpenRouter. Which models Whim uses can change without notice, and the providers behind them may process your request outside Canada.
You can turn this off in Settings. Apps you already have keep working either way.
Reports are sent only when you tap Send report. They go to AnyCognition, not to the AI model providers. A report includes the reason you picked, any note you wrote, the app's name, and your phone's anonymous ID. It also includes the reported version's original code when that code is saved on your phone, so we can investigate what went wrong. You can choose whether to include the prompt that made that version. Older apps may have no saved code or prompt to include. Reports are deleted after 90 days.
Whim also keeps a usage ledger: one row per request, holding your phone's anonymous ID, the request type, timestamps, the outcome, token counts and cost. The ledger holds no request content, and is kept for 90 days.
Whim has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs. There is no way for people to share apps or content with each other.
Server logs hold no request content, and the front proxy that serves Whim keeps no access log.
Turning AI features off in Settings stops requests to make or change apps. Apps already on your phone keep working. You can still choose to send a report.
For access or deletion requests, contact support@whim.anycognition.ca. Nothing here is tied to a name or account, so we may not be able to find one person's rows — and reports and ledger rows are gone after 90 days either way.
Whim is rated 13+. If what Whim sends ever changes, the app asks you to agree again.
